Pink Lattice Quilt

Wonder if anyone still recalled this, this and this posts..... :)
It is okay if no one did, for they seem ages since we last saw this piece.

It makes an appearance now and hanged proudly in my studio.
Lovely and my first quilting project using the quilting frame.
Just wish, more will be born soon..... :)

Up on the shelf, too!

I knew that Darr is impatiently waiting to lay this on her bed.
This is her only second piece after this.... of the same fave color. Poor girl! Having a quilter as a mother, she should has piles of quilts in store....right?????

WIP.... DARR's

We spend few days at BK3 with the children and we had great times there. Although I did not cooked any rendang or ketupat for the big day, everything was well organized and bought, ready for the days......

During my stay I found the above...... and I could recalled that.......
Just after Darr's SPM exams was over seven years ago, I managed to persuade her to pickup sewing some simple hexagon flowers, for a single size quilt. I found this half way done, neatly packed inside a box with all sewing items and fabrics necessary........hiding under her bed.
She was unable to complete it until today... :)

After the Eid was over I took home this to Alor Setar and I am working on this top now.

HappyGirls - completed

Syukur, this "HappyGirls" was quilted, washed, folded and stored away on time. To make it possible for storing, from the washer I lined it outdoor to dry up and aired for half an hour or so to fluffed it up.

This quilt measures 70" x 58" and completed within 3 days. Quite a simple, easy piecing and quilting.

Will keep it until I found a suitable someone to have it.

Wonder if the shops open for business.... off for a little shopping then.

She is now in PERTH, Australia, pursuing her studies and was waiting for this since she stepped her feet there on February 13th. 2010.

Looking and hunting for a suitable fabric design for backing......... Sorry Wani dear, it took me awhile to complete this for you.... soon I hope!

P/S As a promissed made to Sharifah or to anyone interested , finally I managed to retracked the above Storm At Sea here.

ATIN'S MEOW MEOW (UPDATED)

A single for Darling Little Princess Nur Fatin Izzati on her 1st birthday. machine patched and machine quilted.

This special quilt was handed over to her first birthday on August 10th 2007. Last night I recalled the beautiful moments during her stay in Alor Setar (they are now in Ampang, my niece's daughter, Salina). The above shows her first and second's birthday shot. Hope this coming birthday will be merrier than before.....Miss her dearly.....

Well, managed to get hold of the original design from my collections of magazine and would like to share here since it is a beautiful masterpiece, simple and easy and a nice gift for our little girl.
