Studio... under construction

AsSalam semua..... terharu kDee baca comments dan kata2 pendorong .... memberikan satu semangat dan kekuatan untuk meneruskan apa yang telah lama kDee impikan.... Terima kasih semua.

Studio mini kDee berkonsepkan workshop dan banyak kearah memberi pembelajaran dan kelas kraf untuk semua peringkat. kDee akan mengajar sendiri mana yang dlm bidang kDee atau akan mengambil tutor untuk specific programe yang diperlukan. Apa bidang sekali pun kecuali masakan...sebab dalam lot/studio kDee ni tiada bekalan air. Baking ok ker? Sekarang kDee masih menunggu bekalan elektrik di sambungkan.

KDee juga buka untuk sewaan pada sesiapa yang memerlukan ruang untuk membuat kelas di sekitar bandar Alor Setar, kebetulan Dataran Usahawan yang berkonsepkan Mall ni memang di tengah2 pekan A/Setar. Ruang kelas yang berada di second level (SL10) dilengkapkan dengan meja/kerusi untuk maximum 30 peserta. Di buka pada setiap hari dari jam 10pg hingga 10mlm..... Beroperasi sepenuhnya pada awal Disember 2011 atau seawal mungkin.

Sekarang masih dalam proses penyudahan ruang tutorial dan floor rendering, kelengkapan pejabat kecil dan sudut jahitan KDee.

Juga kDee alu2kan pada sesiapa yang ingin mempamir dan menjual handmade produk/kits atau anything craft related di studio ni... KDee nak share ngan sesiapa yang berminat.

From time to time kDee akan update perkembangan terkini studio ini. KDee juga harapkan kawan2 dapat memberi ideas dan pandangan dan tunjuk ajar pada kDee.... ramai yang mahir dalam bidang perniagaan .... KDee berbesar hati kalau dapat menimba ilmu dari sesiapa saja yang ingin membantu kDee menjayakan studio ini.....

Selangkah Ke Depan

Banyak sangat perkara yang mencabar sejak kebelakangan ini. Kadang -kadang tak terbuat dek terasa pendek nya waktu dan lelah nya diri kDee ini..... Tapi kDee mesti kuatkan semangat dan mesti tabah.... walau apa pun.........!!

Justeru kDee harus buat sesuatu untuk perbaiki diri dan motivasi untuk kesejahteraan minda dan fikiran. KDee dah melangkah sedikit kedepan dengan mencuba sesuatu yang agak drastik dan agak berisiko.

Langkah demi langkah kDee telah ambil dan akhir nya kDee telah berjaya mendapatkan sebuah tempat untuk sambung hobi menjahit kDee yang dah jadi huruhara di rumah sendiri.

KDee dapat menyewa sebuah lot di sebuah Mall kepunyaan PKNK untuk kDee terus berkarya dengan fabrik kDee yang semakin menimbun tu...... Aduh, ni kDee kena kuat kerja ni.... double or triplekan kekuatan diri dan mental untuk berjaya.......

Tapi kadang-kadang terasa kDee kesaorangan jer........... walau pun ada gerakkan tapi terasa semua macam dalam paksaan dan amat perlahan........ Tak pe laaa ........ Harap-harap keluarga dan kawan-kawan dapat bagi moral support, satu perkara yang amat kDee kehendaki sekarang!

Ahadiah, kuatkan diri dan cekalkan hati.... jangan mengalah. InsyaAllah!!!!!

Dah bayar semua yang perlu dibayar dan dah ada kunci di tangan..... well?????

KDee akan update perkembangan studio kecil ini...... Insyaallah.

Only.....colour play

An overdue assignments................. and done finally! 27 pieces of pillowcases and 5 pieces of tablecloths. Belong to an old acquaintances and relatives.

Just realized some coincidence here..... their choice of colours are almost alike..... 5 individual owners in total....... :)

Little Pyramids in pouches

I have made lots of 1" sided little pyramids recently...... and many more coming.
I have lots of little pouch to get stringed up ..... and many more to sew
I have completed about 75 sets of BATU SEREMBAN but I still need
MORE of the same numbers to go....... sigh!

MALAYSIAN

Hari ini terasa semangat nya menjadi anak Malaysia, yang telah mendapat kemerdekaan hampir seusia umur kDee sendiri...... (terasa tua pulak diri ini!)

Dan esok HARI MALAYSIA, dan semua bercuti....... walaupun diri kDee tak pernah ada cuti dari terus menjahit dan terus dengan aktiviti harian.............! Yang penting kDee bangga sangat si lahirkan di bumi bertuah ini.

Sejak kebelakangan ini kDee agak down sikit dengan routine harian. Jadi pi jalan-jalan di bandar Alor Setar yang tenang ini, dengan harapan terjumpa sesuatu. Memang terjumpa pun... tengok tu.... timbunan fabrics yang kDee beli, semua nya projek untuk baby......Lepas ni kDee tak bolih lah nak santai-santai sangat..... banyak yang menanti di sudut jahitan.

Semangat MERDEKA kDee pinjam untuk ber karya dengan mesin jahit!!

Little Gifts for little ones

I hope the previous celebration was great for everyone and heading for another 6 days of fasting during this month of Syawal.The holy spirit lingers on still and I am most of the time being away from my sewing corner....

I did few little stitches though during Ramadhan and meant for giving away, as I used to do every year, a small gift for the little ones.

This year I made few bags of seven stone games, batu SEREMBAN...... When I saw few of cousins and nephews were engrossed themselves playing with some river stones or gravels they collected around the house.... this gave me the ideas of giving them something.... inside a drawstring little pouch.

And I made some paper weights by scaling up the size.... for the sewing room.

Another casserole dish carrier......?

Started these before the fasting month came and as per to date managed to complete only one..........!

This version of the casserole dish carrier is slightly different with an additional of small white laces adorning the round edge. Will apply the same to the other 5 pieces, most probably. And time will decide when all of these to get completed..........!

Zakat and Sadakah

Not much on sewing lately....... and I was not at my sewing corner most of the time.

This holy fasting month was filled with lots of gathering...... to complete the Qur'an recital for the blessings and reward and more on night prayers.......

We had few small function and social activities though for giving away Zakat and Sadakah with some amount collected from our WI members to be shared with the needy, tahfiz orphanage students, disaster relief personal, Widow/orphanage child and few others.

The small gathering was held at Puan Hajah Cik Gayah residence (in yellow tudung) with few committee members to help things out.

On the same day, our second venue was at a small village, in Alor Setar still. Here majority, came the old folks and some with poor health problems......

Khatam Al-Quran

We end the daily Tadarus Al-Qur'an reciting with a little du'a and small gathering at Puan Hajah Khadijah's place. This ceremony is known as the Khatam Al-Qur'an. It was simple, but we were all syukur that we got through and stay healthy and could withstand the fasting month like previous years.......

InsyaAllah, may we gather again in many more years to come.....

Beadings.......

This beading programme involved me as a whole..... This was held on the 29th July, a few days before the fasting month. Organized by the same organisation, Majlis Pembangunan Wanita dan Keluarga, chaired by Puan Sharifah Maznah and was held at Dewan Nur.

As the technology provider for this programme, it took me two weeks for the whole preparation and to coach two girls to assist me..... apart from getting items and designs to suit the beginners and intermediate beader in one go........!

Alhamdulillah, we managed, with the help from Intan and Shifa....Thanks girls!

Fishing....

Another WI activities was Acara Memancing held on the 16th July. This event took a week's preparation...... but all was worth the effort since everyone was enjoying...just like a family day!!!

Far behind, is our WI President's resident Puan Hajah Siti Rohani and this fish pond belongs to her husband, Tuan Haji Ibrahim.

Everyone won some little token and the fishes they caught went home with them too...... Hubby and I had no fish to carry home since we were on duty..... :D

Baking...

This baking class was held on the 15th July organized by the Majlis Pembangunan Wanita dan Keluarga.

Attended with another 2 ladies, Puan Saadiah Hanafiah (in yellow apron) and Puan Zaiton (pink tudung) for the WI activities.

Have yet to convey the knowledge of few biscuits and cake recipes to other members later after this fasting and the 'Aidil Fitri celebration are over ....InsyaAllah

It arrives.......

This awaits when I came home from the qur'an recital sessions with friends today. The parcel that I have been waiting for almost 3 months... but it was worth them all.

This is the quilted fabric basket, made for a SWAP organized by Michele Foster of Quilting Gallery few months back. It came from Jacquelyn Morris-Smith of Arizona, USA, my swapee..... She includes other goodies, a table mat and mug rug, a little notes and some business cards. I love them all, Jacquelyn..... and thanks a heap for all these lovely items and the beautiful fabric basket...:)

SquarePatch Bags

All these 9 lovely SquarePatch bags were fully completed weeks ago. Tailored with two sizes and fully quilted with zipper closures, three pockets and a key string attached with lobster clasp.

This ZibraSquarePatch was one of my fave. Shifa, the new owner, sent me this photo...thanks Shifa!

WI- Another little glory.....

The two tier sewing basket made early this year was finally revealed after the State WI meets was held on the 9th April 2011 and my little achievements was it has passed through few stages and finally went to Kedah State level. Alhamdulillah .

It is now at the Petaling Jaya WI Head Quarters for further valuation..... InsyaAllah.

So was the Sejadah Sujud (small prayer mat). It went through all stages and was posted together with the above basket representing KEDAH for the National level on craft category.
