As years pass by i was surprised that i have done quite a number of completed projects. Be it designs copied from various magazines and books or personally scribbled, all are my treasures owned with pride. To share with you here are some of them.....my earlier projects were not photographed but mostly in the hands of those who cares and loves them because they came - from my hands to their hearts -

Lately I was so busy and my house and sewing corner was in a mess and I just can't stop sewing and sewing.... to produce anything that I could managed.... patched bags, pouches, clutches, embroidered table cloth, pincushions, table mats and some quilts and runner as display items.
I was so tired during the events and how I wish I was at home and had a good nap.... but with few items were sold and many just stopped by for a chat and admiring my products, I felt quite happy behind my booth ...... (since Hubby is one of their staff, he could not helped out :( ..... We wrapped up with some amount to donate to the needy and I was quite pleased with the whole event and got over with in satisfactions.......
KD nak minta maaf juga pada Shima KD lambat siapkan bunga2 tu....
Well , I have always planned things but it's been far longer than I had expected, what with illness , sewing machine breakdown and the pilgrimage seasons and other events attended it had been a hectic few weeks!
These past few days I was not feeling good.... with the changes of weather and had a severe migraine and put me off my sewing area constantly.

It has been quite a while I did not do quilting and too much on bag making, how I love the diversions .....

These are the close up requested by Cik Kema. Simple satin stitch or zig-zag. Black thread to highlight each object. No turning in seams, no stabilizer. Simple and fast....
Tinggal dua gulung kertas yang nak kena undi giliran ke 6........

Last week end with Hubby (lucky that day could get hold of hubby to tagged along) we attended my former student's, Khuzaimah, wedding which was held at Hutan Kampong, Alor Setar.
She looked radiantly beautiful...... she was a simple girl who came to learn traditional machine embroidery, bags making and a bit of networking setup. She is building up her blog... to fill all her leisure time and will be residing in Rawang and will be a full time housewife....
I am still struggling with some expired promises.... here are some and.... oh.... few more to fulfill.by DiahRothman

This was from Denielle Lue of Spring Hill, my swapie of Good Ol' Summertime Mini Quilt Swap. It is simply lovely and love the colour combinations. Thanks Danielle, will hang up on my sewing room display-wall for everyone to see, especially all quilters' friend around this part of the world......and admiring your little pink Flamingos :)

Well, much hope that readers here are not bored with my pouches..... :)

Apart from few goodies, cookies and other accessories that my children bought for me and hubby for the Eid, they remembered my passions of sewing and crafting... here are two beautiful patchwork book by ONDORI and Origami by Tomoko Fuse to add to my collections.
Thanks kiddos.... Abah and Mama always love you all!by DiahRothman

For the last block of Morty's I used lavender. Kind of bright compared to the rest. Just changed the columns fabric to enhance them. Wow, soon we are adding the trees and shrubs and all greens will appear!!!! Love all these....
During the fasting month hubby and me had visited our kids at BK3 and we (all girls) had fun searching and hunting for Baju Raya and other stuffs for the celebrations.
Apart from that we had time to discover some treasures at few trifted stores around The Mines area and found these. Great for decoupage.
This salt and pepper shakers are end-stands for my books and template-in-use.
and this beautiful bowl will house my sewing tit-bits and gadgets .
As usual after sending off hubby to the bus terminal then came home, the sewing room will be my first target. While the washing machine was mumbling and rambling taking over the laundry from me, I was happily sewing and listening to the local radio station - Kedah FM.
When Amalina left and turn the next block, disappeared from my sight I instantly remembered my girl NIA and have to make one to match her baju raya too (so did Amalina said about her pink pouch)...... Drooling I went and completed this. Just a perfect gift for her..... I knew that she would not read this cos she is soooooo engross with her new 'toy' (not to worry for DARR cos she has three in hand).
A visitor came this early morning about 7.56am, Amalina, SIKAKITULIS at my sewing room to pick up this .............. she managed to urge me to do one piece of the pouch for her. How could I refused when she sounds like my daughter who was so desperately need one for this 'Eid!
I found my long lost friend, Farah Sofiah, few weeks ago......
Yummy indeed this fabric design...... for Syafazaliza. Thanks Sya!
Another but the same design. These are for some dear friends......!
These are for Sofya and had been posted this morning. She knows what colour suits her and I like her choice. According to her they are YUMMY colours..... :))Just want to share this with everyone...... and I am in CLOUD NINE... Soooooo happy!!!!!

I like Ann's First Home due to my most favorite fabrics being used here both the roof and the wall.

(Remember my own denim patch bag! It has been snatched by a friend who admired it so much... Well, guess have to make another similar one or maybe using heavy cotton this time....)
As requested by Effa, here is the pic of the lining with pockets attached.
MUS name was being picked up in the previous draw... and she requested for reds and whites.
So................... feast your eyes............................. I'll continue tonight..... so sleepy!
Hello all Hexy Game Members!!!!!
All this while I have been sewing bags for friends or for my little shop. I need something for myself and be proud to carry one...... Not too much to ask right? Now I own this.
The materials were from some collections of my childrens' old denim jeans, overalls, skirts, tops........ Cut, patched, quilted and here it is!
Received these rainbows few days back... and the colours are lovely. But most importantly is, its rare price that you have to grab right now on sales at Cik Kema's MsCraft Shoppe. Hurry now with a good price for a good size of rainbow felt!

Look at these two identical (almost) of blue and cream. One of my favourite quilt (right) that I cherish always.

This tag was from SHIMA. Thanks Shima .

Apart from sewing, lately I plunged myself into this decoupage world.

Since I made these two pair, our dear Balkhis had not got the time to visit my sewing room. She was all glancing, browsing and eying through the net and had something set in her mind.
Totally exhausted for the past one week for some yearly events which involved our WI (Women Institution) , other NGOs and the governments sectors which took place at the Stadium Darul Aman from July 31st. - August 1st 2009.

Look who came to visit our humble booth. Our 'IRON LADY' Dato' Maznah Hamid. She stayed about half an hour and have a nice chat full of motivated speech and spirited advices to us. She bought most of my items mostly the patchworks products.
Okay update terkini dari blog Balkhis sila rujuk.
Kita ambil ukuran seperti digambar tertera. Yang nak buat sendiri master copy untuk hexy template bolih refer di sini, sangat mudah..... Penting ketepatan dan guna template (master copy) ni dan terap banyak2 keatas kertas..... mesti tepat.
Hello to all!!
It was rained outside and just the right time to make another wrist pouch for someone.
I took the opportunity to make another extra pieces for my little shop which had been left neglected quite sometimes. Finished 3 before I went for a nap in the sound of pouring rain outside.....hope it was only drizzled...
Just divert to something cute and fast to boost the next quilt project.
P/S As requested by those participating in Balkhis's HexyGame, I am personally will include one cutie-hexy-pincushion to all players...... in one conditions..... everyone must say YES! or nak, nak, nak like Shima did!

Thank God I managed to finish off this on time before Nia returns to Alor Setar next week. Like tons of burden had been lifted off my shoulder, cos I have been dragging this far too long!!!
This sweet beauty measures 103 inches x 92 inches, 3/4 inch thick batting and 'graciously' weights about 4.5 kilograms. This is Nia's 'third' quilted comforter and all specifications to her requirements....... but wonder why DOUBLE.......mmmmm!
Remember the little baby penguin for the pincushion swap....... she is with Carol Hansen ....... having a great time.

Maybe we can make THIS in our own home and at our own time with combination of fabrics from our friends.... isn't it fun?

Just managed to fetch this tag from a dear friend NAIZ. Thanks Naiz! Need to answer all the questionnaires.......
I hate to see my handphone with dirty or oily screen (sure verybody does too) and try to fine a solution...... THEN I came up with this.

Bought these beautiful pieces from Affeen Decoupage weeks ago. Just try to divert a little bit to another angle of crafting......

She wrapped some of the gifts with great black and red fabrics, my favourite colours.
Thank you Vanessa for all the wonderful and thoughtful gifts. Also my thanks to Sandra to make everything possible and happens......
Last night I was so restless and just can't close my eyes...... But I know I have to wake up early to drive HUBBY to the bus station about 6.30am the next morning! Alone and lonely....................... and I was thinking of my DEAR FATHER and my CHILDREN at BK3.

Personally I have been asked to expose my little corner of the world where I spent most of my times sewing and crafting.............Well, let the pictures tell the story.

Finally I made it with weary eyes the next morning. While waiting for her to collect the whole bunch I dozed off for a hundred times.... z z z z z....

All eight families (30 people) gathered up for three days and we had great times! My three kids came up too.
Further left, Atin had her day dreaming 'cos she loves the water but did not know where to start.... while waiting to get admission. One of her cat's-shy acts....
This was one of the best place where I immersed myself for almost four hours...... water... water... water... had really good splashes!!!!!
Managed to catch hold of Hubby's disappearing acts. On his way to stroll around the village behind the resort.

Have made this yesterday for somebody that is far yet feel quite close to me. I did not know that few days back was her birthday, until I read her blog. So it is the best time to give her something that came out from my own hands... even how simple and plain it was.

Dear friend Haslina gave me this piece of stencilled fabric to make into something. Received few months back and it took me awhile to get it done and finally managed to complete this yesterday.
It is a pincushion having 4 inches square. Just stitched a cotton lace around it and have no intention to add anything else because it is just beautiful being itself. I did not even cut it any smaller to give space for the pin or needles not to land on the beautiful stincilled part. Too lovely to get poke!
Divert my mind setting on something that I wanted to sew for quite sometimes now. Here it goes......

A single for Darling Little Princess Nur Fatin Izzati on her 1st birthday. machine patched and machine quilted.

Well, managed to get hold of the original design from my collections of magazine and would like to share here since it is a beautiful masterpiece, simple and easy and a nice gift for our little girl.

In my attempt to fluff my this treasured quilt, it drizzled outside and had to transfer it indoor.
I used this great technique from JUDY TURNER from her book Awash With Colour. The pics from Australian Patchwork & Quilting Annual 2002 Vol 9 No 11 Page 58.
What lurks in your handbag? But most importantly is how many handbags do we have.
I have sewn mine quite sometimes ago, but some friends asked me to make for them. Well, it is not that tough and I assure you, you can do it. Lets give us a try!
These two are my favourites. Roses are my flower and the other one was done fully stitched and took about one month to complete.....

I did a lot. From the smallest items to things for framing up.
Also found in an old shoe box were my pieces of DMC embroidery threads.
iting her blog and see what she has to offer for the lucky winner.

My eldest and youngest came back for a week and they have big appetite and a good flair for foods. In fact I was happy to cook whatever they craved for........ (Mind you I am not good at cooking, but some how I managed). They went back yesterday morning.
Then I hopped for some fabrics and zippers in town, came home and did some pattern and fabric cutting. Complete this today for Nia's old buddy. Could not get the paisley fabric design she asked for all this while...but was lucky, got it yesterday and done with it!
HANISYAHIDA was my new student. She came just to learn sewing, nothing specific in particular. After some brief talk we decided to make a lap-top sleeve.
Well, here it is.
I have been eying for this fabric design from a very creative blogger friend Jajakraf. Finally the parcel came knocking at my door step today. I am so happy....
Finally he arrived home with his old-yellow-silver-bone-shaker (his FWD Pajero) accompanied by this huge green thing. We had a very late dinner!
My son's, BOY, vintage Vespa (formally belongs to my father). Just ignore the Vespa.... just look at the little bird's house. Made from barks of trees....... and some of his driftwood collections from the jungle around Kedah forest.
>Just a simple tote bag with outside and inner pockets, lining and zipper.

book is okay.
We hope no one gets disappointed, lets all stick to these 'rules' and make it a wonderfull swap. She is looking forward to getting to know all those creative blogs & seeing all kinds of selfmade pincushions!!
Care to join them, girls..... get moving now!!!!!
Today I am in the mood of dusting off my sewing room. Apart from extracting dust and pieces of stash from my few treasures, I found some UFT (UnFinishTop) stare mercifully at me from the top of my shelves. Not that I am unaware of their existent, but try to ignore ....... quite a while then.
One top down from its friends.
I was shocked when I woke up this morning with this huge thing hovering my living room...
All was machine quilted. For freehand quilting definitely I used the darning foot (look closely, I have a broken darning foot, the lever/hook had snapped off few years ago but it is still very faithful to me).
So, as promised, I am on behalf of all Malaysian, whole-hearted and graciously would like to hand over this to ROBYN. Please give me the details on how to transfer this to its destination..... the Australian Victorian bushfire quilting ladies.
This is what I could grabbed from Borders. I have been looking for this kind of craft book on every stores or book stands that I have visited. Finally.......
