EXPECTED n UNEXPECTED

The gate bell rang twice yesterday and I received two parcels, one the expected and the other a non expected bundle of joys.................

The unexpected ones came from HaminahLee/Bannister from Miri, Sarawak in conjunction of her birthday...... Happy Belated Birthday, Mina. She posted all these specially for me .... so thoughtful of her.... Lovely batik Sarawak sarongs, crocheted potholders (by her), beaded coin purse and a packet of lovely buttons...... Thanks again Mina......You really made my day filled with joy..... :D



The other soughtful parcel was from Pondok Craft and came the green beauty which I have ordered from their recent Fat Quarter - 1930's Collection. I booked two packets of fqs but I think Ayu must have dropped one extra for me........ :D thanks Ayu.......

There are lots more in their lines of fabric collections and the offer valid till end of June ....do hurry!

ANN'S HIDEAWAY

I went to Ann's place yesterday and we had really enjoyed each other's company. Yes, she has really into sewing this time and proven by how her crafty room's look-like...... but the entire house look decent except this particular nook.... see what I mean! I did urged her to do some homework and organize her lovely fabrics.

But personally I admire her style of doing her own design.... simply artistic and some are a rare kind and are purely her own .... Keep it up Ann!

We have more in common with this sewing things and we have lots more to talk and discuss..... but my eyes were gazing here and there wondering her house mate where about...... glad that he was away. May be giving us the whole few hours to chat and all-ladies and sewing talk which did not interest him at all. When I was about to wrap-up and leave Ann's place.... there he was..... Mr Popo.. the gendut-handsome cat.... Ann's house mate. I did not know where he was hiding.... and appeared finally..... He was so hungry that he did not bother to pose......

Thanks Ann for having lunch together and made me a cup of coffee and the lovely fabrics...... and showing me around Pekan Jitra........ Look forward to visit you more often..... if you will have me again!

P/S Actually I was so cautious/scared of anything furry.........
Thanks Popo, for understanding.... don't tell Ann... okay.... just between us... will reward you, Popo, during my next visit!

SAL # 6-update

What a relieve to have completed this........................................!

I apologize, Alyn, Shima, Nisa and Yati to be a little late and way behind. And the next SAL will takes time to start since I am living in the pollution of noise and dust!!!

And I am trying to run away from HOME!

SAMPLER BOM 2010 from Fida

Fida's block seems to be the first to arrive even though my turn will due on July, next month. According to her, she is having a long holidays...... Have a nice vacation Fida.

So I have two blocks now, from 'KakDee' and Fida....... Thanks a lot Fida.... it is so bright and neat. I really love it!

WRAPPED BASKETS

The wedding day is coming soon and here are another three of the same Wrapped Baskets as an additional of the previous two. To be filled with door-gifts.......... Same concept as before, and the fabrics are of the owner's choice

I went over to Puan Jasmani's house, and from the preparations it is going to be a grand receptions ...................

BLUE FRIENDS # 2- Baby set

Still slashing my lists.... and here, one of those.

A baby set for Puan Siti Mariam. She fell in love with the first BLUE FRIENDS. Lucky her, still have some meters of the same fabric design to fulfill her wish for her first baby.

Just outlined-quilt the animal prints and stippled the border, with few little lambs appliqued at four corners.... and on the mattress cover as well.

Hope I did not make it too busy for the baby to do the counting...... 1, 2, 3, 4........
