All things moved......

Left alone means I do not need to cook for any meals, means Hubby was away for fishing!

And I went busy shifting and rearranging my sewing corner again. My secret..... I arrange the sewing room every two or three months once ...... Am I weird?

These pics below are just for my sewing diary and to keep track of my daily activities....... :)

A little office where I am typing now.... with such comfy armchair who could resist sitting for hours, surfing and browsing...... me especially!! And my sewing table with MekTam now.

The messy part of my corner... the working and cutting table. Last month I bought the foldable table from Giant...it is kind of handy and becomes 2' x 2' when folded up portable enough for my little transport. I transformed the back of the old cupboard and my old wardrobe for my design wall...... but found out that it is not sufficient to cater even for a single quilt top..... will see some other solutions.

This is how Hubby will view me, I guess....... when he is not busy with his Byond...... :D

An open storage area where I keep all the necessary quilting items ..... messy :)

This trolley with castors is really handy to store all the little sewing items.

Some collections of craft books and magazines

Now....... my most favorite spot....... supplied by my kids, they just knew their mama's taste.
I love chocolates and sweets :D

what a lovely room to work in, its nicely organized enough to be able to work in, yet you can still see everything and not be overwhelmed. I love all the colors peeking out, just waiting to be created into something!

Rose, the house is not that big.... just that I used up most of the spaces. Actually Hubby is kind enough to let me have my own open and no cubical sewing area... and I love every part of it.

Marta, welcome and thanks for visiting here....

Mangosteenskin, thanks dear!

Melissa, thanks.
Just love to be there for hours and get cracked up for ideas and get along with the rest of quilters and on blog land... I do enjoy your macrame site very much!

Sue, tak lama bertahan cam tu. Nanti KD akan ubah lagi.... Hubby dah tak larat nak tolong... Kena buat sendiri, kecuali yang berat.

DiahRothman said...

Rina, agak spacious juga la. Buat quilt memang banyak peralatan dan bahan2 nya kena banyak especially fabric.

DiahRothman said...

Zila, kalau berubah tempat, semangat pun jadi baru....

Satu hari nnti Zila pun akan kumpul peralatan menjahit, ..... mesti nak terutama fabrik kan...kan?

DiahRothman said...

Hanim, if it grows more I think I have to move out...... :D
Getting critical now, no proper storage....!

Salam K.Dee, sangat memberansangkan bila tengok sewing corner baru yg dipaparkan ni.No wonder your idea on the needle crafter tak pernah kering.

Kak Dee!
I almost faint of jealousy staring at these photos! Look how delicious are those quilts on the wall absolutely love it. And your vintage Singer treadle - that is the best part. I reckon sewing machines designed in the past are the most sturdy ones and very reliable too. I've a Brother sewing machine here just one of those white plastic ones on the market. I don't really like how light it is though, it tends to move sometimes while I'm sewing. But yeah, it's portable easy to be shipped back home to Malaysia soon. I love your sewing area Kak D, so refreshing :)

Hayati, hours of sewing and immersed myself in that corner means I have to have a small but comfortable and friendly sewing environment... yes?

You are right Hayati, MekTam is inherited to me from Granny, in 3rd generation now. My other Faith has retired and giving 20 years of good service. The rest has individually, their own function and capability on assisting me.

Just grab the opportunity to get a good materials and sewing gadgets there while you can... and ship them back.... How about fabrics in NZ... how are they, in varieties, compare to Aussie's!

Kak Dee I'm enjoying the playlist on your blog today, I'm not familiar with Anne Murray but I like the classic feel in her songs :))

We get all sorts of fabrics here from sheer Georgette to cotton to faux leather and fake fur. I reckon this is especially true if you go to small independent fabric shops in suburb area - they usually stock very interesting types of fabric and the shopkeepers are friendly too. It's like heaven for the adventurous sewers out there.

Unfortunately, I haven't been to Australia yet so I'm in no position to draw a comparison between the two countries. Maybe we both can go one day and check it out eh Kak Dee? Hehehe.

Hayati, glad you enjoyed listening to Anne Murray... love all her country music and melodious songs.

Wow, the fabrics sound delicious. You would not regret if you could grab for your collections, a couple of good designs..... NZ birds, native flora, Maori designs and all...

Mmm, how I wish, one day we are really there, at Aussie's quilt paradise...:D
