I AM TOUCHED

THIS POST WAS EXTRACTED FROM HEXAGON QUILT ALONG

May 28, 2009

Sharing Beauty..

I had to share this with you all girls...
Our lovely Diah Rothman, so generously made this beautiful quilt for Hexagons of Hope.
Pictures do not do this quilt justice... it is far prettier in real life.
It has been lovingly made and quilted with care.
I feel so priveleged to pass this on...

Now I know Diah won't want me making a fuss, so I won't...
..except to say "Thankyou" once again for being a lady with such a generous heart.

This quilt has a very interesting history.
It's worth a read to see how it came to life...
Check out the link here under "hexy finding" for all the info on how this quilt came to be.

P/S Updated Nov 2nd 2009, e-mail from Robyn,

Dear Diah,

It's been quite a long time since hearing from me.
I thought you'd like to know that I received word of your beautiful hexagon quilt being delivered just this past week.
Your beautiful quilt went to a lovely lady in the Kinglake area of Victoria, who lost her home and her husband and everything.
I know it will bring her great comfort!!

Take care Diah and once again thanks so much for your wonderful generosity.
hugs
Robyn

Maria dear, It took me about four months to get it done. I dragged along and sometimes overlooked it.. poor thing. But now feel so relieved that it was in the hands who needed it most.

Yeah..We are off for a short weekend @ BktMerah. To have fun time splashing........!!!!!!

Hanim,
Just want that quilt to have a better home and to someone who needs it more than I do... if God Willing, I could still make another for me and to somebody else....
